Design Around The World :
Engineering, Architecture, and Global Learning Abroad
Through five study abroad programs, I combined engineering, architecture, leadership, and international relations with hands-on global experience. In the United Kingdom and Europe (2022), I studied at the University of Oxford and visited 10+ countries, later serving as a guest speaker for the Georgia Tech Foundation Inc., being apart of the inaugural Oxford cohort. In New Zealand and Australia (2024), I pursued my Global Engineering Leadership Minor through coursework at the University of Otago and University of Technology Sydney, completed the practicum following the Leadership Studies Program, and once back in Georgia, attended Hyatt Distinguished Leadership Lectures, and was appointed student ambassador for the program. In Greece and Italy (2024), I conducted an Architectonics Independent Study, engaging in CAD work, field testing, and design analysis of historic structures, with my project later exhibited at the Georgia Tech Digital Cultural Heritage Exhibition. In Iceland and Sweden (2025), I explored innovation and entrepreneurship in civil systems, including work with a Swedish steel manufacturing start-up. Most recently, in South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan (2025), I studied urban planning, resilience, and diplomacy, earning a Certificate in International Affairs. Beyond the academics, each program strengthened my leadership abilities, broadened my global perspective, provided incredible opportunities for cultural immersion, and not to mention, was a ton of fun and adventure!
